Cladding or Block Walls?

Cladding

  • Goes up quickly with a smaller crew
  • Lighter on the structure and foundations
  • Easy to extend or alter later
  • Clean, modern finish in your chosen colour

Block walls

  • Slower to build and finish
  • Heavier, needs stronger footings
  • Harder to change once built
  • Needs plastering and painting

Can I combine cladding with block walls?

Yes, and many warehouses do. Block walls to a set height give security and impact resistance at ground level, with cladding above for speed and a clean finish.

Vertical or horizontal cladding: which looks better?

Vertical profiles shed water quickly and suit tall industrial walls. Horizontal profiles give a modern, architectural look on shop fronts and offices. Both work when trims and flashings are detailed properly.

Will metal cladding make my building hotter?

Lighter colours reflect more heat, and insulated panels or a lining reduce heat gain further. Ask us about options for your building.

The Details That Keep Water Out

  • Corner trims
  • Window and door flashings
  • Base and head flashings
  • Drip flashings
  • Foam closures
  • Self drilling screws with sealing washers

Most leaks in clad walls start at openings and corners. We quote matching trims and flashings with your sheets so the finish is right first time.
